The Complaints
The complaints in this case arose after the applicant reported children throwing stones at his home on two consecutive days.
We have reviewed the handling of two complaints, namely that:
officers failed to attend to see the applicant despite being requested to do so; and
the applicant did not receive an acknowledgement email after reporting an incident on a Police Scotland online reporting form.
Police Scotland’s Decision
Police Scotland upheld complaint 1; but did not uphold complaint 2.
Our Findings
We have found that Police Scotland handled both complaints to a reasonable standard. There is no further action required of Police Scotland in this connection.
