The Complaints
The complaint in this case arose following the applicant’s contact with the police regarding a dispute with the owner of a neighbouring property. We have reviewed the handling of a single complaint, namely that:
- Police Scotland failed to make sufficient enquiries into the applicant’s report that his neighbour breached an interdict with power of arrest by entering an area of the applicant’s land prescribed in the terms of the interdict.
Police Scotland's Decision
Police Scotland did not uphold the complaint.
Our Findings
We have found that Police Scotland handled the applicant’s complaint to a reasonable standard. There is no further action required of Police Scotland in this connection.
