Report - Police Scotland - PIRC/00285/19
The Complaint
The complaint in this case arose following Police Scotland’s consistent determination that no criminality has occurred despite the applicant’s frequent reports of being targeted by various forms of technological surveillance and harassment.
We have reviewed the handling of a single complaint, namely that:
Police Scotland have failed to take any action to investigate various reports that the applicant made of stalking and harassment; the applicant having reported his home being targeted by radio waves and pictures being projected through his windows, on each occasion police have failed to conduct enquiry.
Police Scotland’s Decision
Police Scotland did not uphold the applicant’s complaint.
Our Findings
We have found that Police Scotland did not handle the applicant’s complaint to a reasonable standard.
However, the information lacking in Police Scotland’s response has been provided to the applicant in our Complaints Handling Review. No further action is required in this connection.
