The Complaints
The complaints in this case arose after Police Scotland attended at the applicant’s licensed premises.
We have reviewed the handling of two complaints, namely that:
senior officers (at the rank of inspector or above) had not been made available to attend the applicant’s licensed premises when requested; and
the applicant asked for a chief inspector to take his statement but was informed that no senior officers were available.
Police Scotland’s Decision
Police Scotland did not uphold either of the applicant’s complaints.
Our Findings
We have found that Police Scotland handled both of the complaints to a reasonable standard.
