FOISA Response No. 790 - data protection and privacy policy
Where relevant, we publish our responses to Freedom of Information requests under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA).
This response addressed the following query:
- “A fully copy of the organisations data protection and privacy policy”
The PIRC has considered this as a request under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (“FOISA”). An application for information held by public authorities under section 1 of FOISA requires that a public authority release all information held, subject to any applicable exemptions.
We consider our Data Protection Policy to be of relevance to the public, and therefore we make this available on our web site. This can be viewed by clicking this link.

We are currently revising this document and hope to have this approved at our next Senior Management Team meeting, after which time we will replace the version on the web site.
