Investigations

We have been directed by the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS) to investigate the death of a 53-year-old woman following an incident involving police in Ayr on 23 July 2023.

Once the investigation is concluded, a report on our findings will be submitted to the COPFS for consideration.

Update: a final report was issued to COPFS on 29 January 2024.
