The Complaints
The complaints in this case arose after the applicant attempted to report a theft to police We have reviewed the handling of one complaint, namely that:
- Police Scotland failed to instigate an investigation following a report made by the applicant, that he believed he was the victim of theft.
Police Scotland’s Decision
Police Scotland did not uphold the complaint.
Our Findings
We have found that Police Scotland handled the applicant’s complaint to a reasonable standard .
No further action is required of Police Scotland in relation to the complaints considered in this review.
