The Complaints
The complaints in this case arose following the death of the applicant’s cousin. We have reviewed the handling of two complaints, namely that:
- The applicant is dissatisfied with the standard of service provided by Police Scotland following the death of her cousin; and
- The applicant’s aunt was told of her son’s death over the telephone.
Police Scotland’s Decision

Our Findings
We have found that Police Scotland handled both of the applicant’s complaints to a reasonable standard.
