The Complaint
The complaint in this case arose after the applicant reported her neighbour (Mrs A) to Police Scotland for taking a video of her, the background of which concerns a contested area of land and the boundaries thereof.
We have reviewed the handling of one complaint, namely that:
- Officers failed to understand that Mrs A’s videoing of the applicant was intrusive, meaning that her report in relation to this matter was not investigated thoroughly.
Police Scotland's Decision
Police Scotland did not uphold the applicant’s complaint.
Our Findings
We have found that Police Scotland handled the applicant’s complaint to a reasonable standard.
No further action is required of Police Scotland in relation to the complaint considered in this review.
