The Complaints
The complaints in this case arose when the applicant called the police during an altercation with his flatmate.
- On 28 December 2021, a Police Officer failed to act upon evidence that the applicant provided about being threatened, and;
- On 28 December 2021, a Police Officer acted in a discriminatory manner, because of the applicant’s race, by not investigating a report that the applicant made.
Police Scotland's Decision
Police Scotland did not uphold the applicant’s complaints.
Our Findings
We have found that Police Scotland handled both of the applicant’s complaints to a reasonable standard.
No further action is required in this connection.
