In six complaint handling reviews (CHR) published today the PIRC found that of 27 complaints reviewed, 17 were handled to a reasonable standard by Police Scotland.

The PIRC issued eight recommendations, one reconsideration direction and one learning point to Police Scotland to address the shortcomings identified in the handling of the remaining 10 complaints.

We expect all recommendations to be completed within two months of the date of issue.
