SALARY/GRADE £24,580 - £27,515 (B1) (FULL TIME SALARY)

STATUS: FULL OR PART TIME (MINIMUM OF 4 DAYS) FIXED TERM 18 MONTHS
The PIRC was established in 2013 and is responsible for carrying out independent investigations into incidents involving the police and independently review the way the police handle complaints from the public.
Our aim is to secure public confidence in policing in Scotland by supporting continuous improvement and promoting positive change.
The Police Investigation & Review Commissioner is currently seeking to recruit a Training Officer to join her team in Hamilton.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to work in a fast paced environment with a growing, progressive organisation.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Human Resources team and managers to identify training needs within each business area and develop an annual training plan which can be delivered within budget. The postholder will have to work closely with external training providers for subject specific training while developing and delivering internal courses. The postholder will coordinate all internal training courses including induction, corporate governance and will deliver some of these sessions.

The postholder must hold a good general education, holding a SCQF level 8 with diploma/certificate in a training related activity.
The position is based in Hamilton and the successful candidates must undergo vetting and Security Clearance (SC) prior to appointment.
