In six complaint handling reviews (CHRs) published today, Monday 2 September 2019, the PIRC found that of 16 individual complaints reviewed, 10 were handled to a reasonable standard by Police Scotland. 

In four of the six cases, the PIRC Review Team has recommended further action by Police Scotland, including issuing four recommendations, one learning point and one reconsideration direction.

The PIRC expects the recommendations, reconsideration directions and learning points to be completed within two months.
