In two complaint handling reviews (CHRs) published today, Monday 26 August 2019, the PIRC found that of 13 individual complaints reviewed, seven were not handled to a reasonable standard by Police Scotland.

The PIRC Review Team has recommended further action by Police Scotland in relation to both cases, issuing six recommendations, one reconsideration direction and five learning points.

The PIRC expects the recommendations, reconsideration directions and learning points to be addressed within two months.
