The Police Investigations & Review Commissioner (PIRC) is investigating police contact with a man prior to his death at a train station in Glasgow on 1 April 2018.

The incident was referred to the PIRC by the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS).

A spokeswoman for the PIRC said:

"The Police Investigations & Review Commissioner (PIRC) is investigating police contact with a 22-year-old man prior to his death.
"The man's body was found at Jordanhill Station, Glasgow, on Sunday 1 April 2018.
"A report on the Commissioner's findings will be submitted to the COPFS in due course."
