The PIRC has submitted a report to the Crown Office into the circumstances leading up to the death in custody of a 33-year-old man.
The investigation focused on prior contact between the deceased, and others, with Police Scotland before the man was involved in an incident in West Nile Street and he inflicted serious injuries upon himself.
Captor Pava - an incapacitant spray - was then discharged by police and the man was detained during the incident in Glasgow on Thursday 13 April 2017.
He later died in hospital.
A report on the Commissioner's findings was submitted to the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS) on 16 January 2018.
