The Police Investigations & Review Commissioner (PIRC) is investigating the circumstances leading up to a death in custody in Glasgow.  

A spokeswoman for the PIRC said:

"The PIRC is carrying out an investigation following the death of a 35-year-old man at Stewart Street Police Station, Glasgow, on Wednesday 30 May 2018.
"The matter was referred to the PIRC by the Crown Office & Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS) and a report will be submitted in due course."
