Business and Strategic Plans

Our annual Business Plan describes how we will deliver on our Priorities and intended Outcomes set out in our three year Strategic Plan.

 
Each of our three teams have specific actions and performance measures to achieve these.

Our performance

We are committed to delivering our Corporate Objectives. 


Our annual Business Plan contains a series of actions and performance measures setting out how we will meet each objective. Our business performance is monitored on a monthly basis and our results published in our annual report and accounts.

Public Services Reform (Scotland) Act: Section 31 information

To promote openness and transparency across the public sector in Scotland, under the terms of the Public Services Reform (Scotland) Act 2010, the PIRC publishes information about expenditure in certain areas, including:
 

  • Public Relations
  • Overseas Travel
  • Hospitality and Entertainment
  • External Consultancy
  • Payments with a value in excess of £25,000
  • The number of members and staff who received remuneration in excess of £150,000.

Record of Senior Management team meetings

The PIRC Senior Management Team meet monthly to discuss and report progress towards the organisation's Strategic Objectives and Business Plan.

Policies and procedures

PIRC policies and procedures contain guidance for staff on how to work in a professional manner.

Memoranda of Understanding

The PIRC has a number of Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with police bodies and other public organisations operating in Scotland, which provide guidance for all parties involved in Investigations and Complaint Handling Reviews (CHRs).
